Industrial Minerals HandyBook
My first real DTP experience. I didn't do the cover on this one but I did learn a lot about doing on a PC what was believed, at the time, only possible on the Mac. |

Mined It!
My client's wife created a children's book on minerals. Relatively easy compared to the "HandyBooks." |

Industrial Minerals HandyBook II
This book turned out to be a real test of the PC's publishing capabilities. As well, I did the cover and it was my first full-color project. Another learning experience which at times caused plenty of stress. However, the cover(and the book) was well received. |

Industrial Minerals, A Global Geology
Another cover I'm proud to take credit for. At this point, "A Global Geology" was the largest project that PageMaker had to handle. Aside from the tremendous amount of text, charts and tables, over 220 scans of existing 8x14 B&W images and lots of cleanup time made this project nothing for the faint of heart. |

Industrial Minerals HandyBook III
This is without question one of my best creative works. When my client sent a picture of the proposed cover art done by someone else, I asked for a chance to come up with something which I thought would be more representitive of the contents of the book. Two weeks later I sent him a rough draft and was given the green light. Keep in mind this was done in 1989 when the tech. was much much younger. |
